Johnson Service Group is looking for a Student Intern – Biology emphasis.

Job duties:

Will assist Client biology staff with a variety of projects including annual fisheries sampling, bird surveys, riparian monitoring, invasive plant mapping, assistance with pre-project biological surveys, pathogen testing, laboratory analysis, California Rapid Assessment Methodology, data entry and analysis as well as other exciting ecological duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities needed to do the job:

Data collection, recording, and analysis, proficiency In Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), knowledge of flora and fauna in Santa Clara County.

Looking for a undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree or a recent graduate in Biological Sciences, Ecology, Wildlife Ecology, Fisheries Biology, Botany, Forestry or other biologically related discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS: must be enrolled in at least nine (9) units per grading period leading to a Bachelor's degree or six (6) units per grading period leading to a Master’s Degree at an accredited college or university or have graduated within the last six (6) months.

WORK HOURS AND TERM: maximum hours per week is 20, during school breaks interns can work up to 40 hours per week if work is available.
