JSG is hiring a Buyer for a temp-hire role in Cypress, CA.

Job Duties:

  • Manage; materials processes for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, receiving, shipping, delivery, and returns of products.
  • Manage:  Finished Goods , Hold shelf and MRO inventories.
  • Hands on Inventory related analysis and processing of Demand Requirements and Planning, Kitting and Distribution.
  • Management of min. max stock and reorder points, independent demands and MRO (shop and facilities stock)
  • Analysis of BOMs material to identify and eliminate shortages. 
  • Expedite any purchased tems not meeting production start dates.
  • Develop material requests and place orders in the ABAS system to Purchasing, track shortages. by Factory (MFG shop) Order.
  • Participate in ABAS ERP/MRP implementation and enhancement.

Desired Skills:

  • Hands on proficiency with ERP and MRP computer systems
  • Supplier Management experience (APICS a plus)
  • Procurement process and expediting escalation a must
  • Strong understanding of Excel and Word
  • Perform analyses using analytical models, ABAS reports and mathematical analysis.
  • Experience in Hi-Reliability (Hi- Rel) Military and Space product
  • Have working experience with AS9100, ISO standards

Education or combination of education and hand on experiences:

  • An AA or Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, commerce or related field is desirable for this position. OR 5 plus years in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and demand planning is desirable.
  • APICS relevant training or certification is desirable.
  • Relevant business certifications are a plus.
  • Hands on ERP and MRP experience is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and telephone skills are required.
