Compression Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will perform coordination of engine and compression maintenance and technical issues as well as pumps, fans and other various plant mechanical equipment. These duties will include coordination of all compressor preventative maintenance, overhauls, station loss control, testing and monitoring of engine and compressor performance. The position will have the ability to give assistance to construction, operations and other staff mechanics on an as needed basis as well as coordinate mechanical repairs and maintenance associated with all other equipment utilized within the facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Monitoring of engine and compression performance
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of pumps and fans
  • Forecast scheduled maintenance and overhaul timing and costs
  • Coordinating engine run hour records, oil sampling and maintenance records
  • Assist in review of technical performance of mechanic staff
  • Ensure environmental compliance in emission testing program
  • Control and minimize repair expense with strong preventative maintenance plan
  • Reporting any unsafe conditions or situations that would compromise the integrity of any equipment or locations
  • Maintaining clean and safe working environment
  • Making any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safe
  • Compressor station operations and automation
  • Operating a company vehicle
  • Maintaining the company vehicle and equipment always to ensure safety to you and the equipment that will be operated
  • Order material as needed


SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

Yes, supervise contract technical/mechanical crews

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 5 years of industry experience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
  • Strong organization and supervisory skills
  • Ability to train and motivate others
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute many tasks at once

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and with flammable liquids. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, acidic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly use hand tools, computers, phone, fax, copier, map printer/plotter and analytical electronic devices, buried pipe line locators and operate a motor vehicle.
