Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently searching for an Engineering Manager to lead the design and analysis of electronics and hardware for aerospace actuation systems for our global client.

Summary of Job Scope and Responsibilities:

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering leadership and management experience within the commercial and/or defense aircraft industry.
  • Will lead a team of 15-20 engineers and analysts.
  • Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) design, analysis, development, test and validation of actuators for aerospace Control Systems.
  • Will oversee electronics hardware and circuit design, analysis and development.
  • Well versed with Product Life Cycle (PLC, Agile Scrum and Lean methodologies.
  • Will lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices in a Lean, Six Sigma environment.
  • Oversee best practice methods, including risk analysis, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), dimensional analysis, DOE and Taguchi, etc.
  • Oversee product design proposals with to ensure that customer requirements and specifications are met.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Greenbelt and/or or Blackbelt experience is preferred
  • 'Champions' training is preferred
