Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Contract Engineering and Technical Staffing firm specializing in Engineering and Manufacturing.

We are currently recruiting for an Entry Level RF Technician.

POSITION SUMMARY for the Entry Level RF Technician: 

  • Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing  test and tune and troubleshooting operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, circuit boards, rf pallets and completed final assemblies.
  • Diagnose and repair amplifiers returned from customers.
  • Assist engineering with testing on an as-needed basis.
  • Work with and be familiar with laboratory test equipment to understand if equipment is operating normally.  Responsible for verifying bench equipment is under current calibration.
  • Use manual methods or automated and semi-automated lab programs to collect and evaluate data during testing.
  • Assist in developing methods and procedures to modify and improve the manufacturing test process.
  • During manufacturing process, identify potential product issues of deficiencies.
  • Assist sales with technical issues and field customer technical questions.
  • Participate in ISO9001 processes and procedures.

SKILLS for the Entry Level RF Technician: 

  • Thorough familiarity of laboratory test equipment, including signal generators, power meters, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Excellent rf and analog troubleshooting skills as well as digital circuitry troubleshooting skills
  • Familiar with MS Office programs, Labview and other pertinent software
  • Excellent communication skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent (military, e.g.)
  • 0-3 years direct experience with rf, analog and digital circuits and rf amplifiers.
