Looking for an Facility Assistant - 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for moving furniture, equipment, maintenance of facilities, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Contributes to and/or evaluates work process improvements.
Drafts written desk guidelines and instructs others in applicable work processes.
Establishes and maintains a filing system for record copies of facility and office services documents.
Recommends policies, plans, and procedures to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Plans and physically moves personnel within the offices.
Updates and maintains floor plans for the office and other locations as needed.
May assist with the development of safety plans and training employees as needed.
Uses knowledge of and develops guidance to effect sustainability.
Responsible for telephone services throughout the project – this will include maintenance and training of
personnel.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining video teleconferencing equipment. This includes the testing
equipment with other offices.
Assists employees with using teleconferencing equipment and provides training as needed.
Coordinates with IS&T for personnel moves and other service requirements.
Coordinate with vendors to establish needed services and goods.
Draft requisitions in the procurement system for services and goods.

Basic Qualifications
Right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with five years of progressive
professional experience; or 10 years of years of progressive professional experience in lieu of a degree.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively with others, both individually and as part of a team.
Knowledge of applicable industry and regulatory standards, and of technology, including hardware and
software applications applicable to office services.
Demonstrated ability in organizing and maintaining department filing systems and share drives.
