Maintenance Supervisor

Oversees and is responsible for maintenance plant maintenance, maintenance personnel, contract/service scheduling and control of production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide guidance and direction to hourly maintenance employees on shift to maintain the plant facility, grounds, and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance emergency conditions with the proper mixture of skilled craftsmen in order to minimize downtime, planning major repairs and installations.
  • Establish critical system priority lists, ensure all materials used for work orders are tracked, and handle multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
  • Work with the team on troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Ensure spare parts and preventative maintenance items are on hand and managed.
  • The Maintenance Manager trains maintenance staff as well as Managers or operators on maintenance items and leads in a hands-on way.
  • Support and enforce facility safety systems.
  • Be available for urgent and emergency call out, if necessary.
  • Recommend facility modifications or procedure changes to enhance operation and cost analysis.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping activities as required.
  • Must comply with facility regulations and respond within critical time limitations to unusual operating conditions and changing operational modes.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Ten (10) years or more experience in maintaining cryogenic gas processing facilities including rotating and fixed asset maintenance.
  • Five (5) years supervisory experience.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Preference given to candidates with one year or more supervisory experience.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude, capable of performing overhauls and major repairs of assigned facility and equipment. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area. 

USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS 

Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, etc.)

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Must have a valid New Mexico Driver License and meet company’s insurance requirements. 

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED 

Basic: Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
