Operations Consultant – Maintenance Repairs and Operations (MRO)

Johnson Service Group is representing one of the fastest-growing, privately-held MRO companies in North America. We are searching for an Operations Consultant to lead new client implementations to support our clients’ growing pipeline of new business. This position will be on a long-term contract with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position. 

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for performing and ensuring successful completion of new account implementations and site-based projects to improve overall day-to-day operations. This includes (but not limited to) new site implementations, inventory control & recovery, KPI achievement, prospective site assessments, client and client site resource training, and overall operational productivity. You will become a subject matter expert and will be a frequent point of contact with the client offering robust and effective customer service.

This role involves 100% travel and only requires you to live near a major airport.

Preferred Technical Skills

  • 7+ years in a leadership role of hourly/clerical workers, in a service industry required; serving industrial or commercial markets preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of basic manufacturing processes, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Prior experience in Integrated Supply and/or MRO distributor industry preferred
  • M.S. Office software skills and experience with ERP software.

Business Skills

  • Must be able to work autonomously; motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Client facing experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated team player with strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Results and process-oriented; strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have proven leadership experience
