3 Operations Training Instructor  

Responsibilities:

•        Experience and expertise with nuclear operations classroom training, specifically in the areas of plant systems and operational training.

•        Under the direction of qualified instructional analysis/developers, prepare classroom training, and/or may provide support to development of plant systems on-the-job training and evaluation.

•        Conduct classroom training for commissioning technicians (CT) who will be operating the plant.



The role and scope includes miscellaneous support activities related to training development and implementation, as well as completion of applicable training on Low-Activity Waste (LAW), Analytical Laboratory (LAB), and Balance of Facilities (BOF) Systems, LAW DSA/TSR (if applicable) and the Company Training Department Procedures. 

and will be required to meet deadlines for training material development and approval.

  • May be assigned to develop training associated with the Documented Safety Analysis implementation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum education and experience: High School diploma plus 7-9 years of related experience as an instructor with knowledge and expertise in nuclear operations training development and implementation using the systematic approach to training.
  • Prefer at least 6 years technical experience in operations, maintenance, or related technical position in Naval Nuclear, Department of Energy Nuclear, or Commercial Nuclear Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Upon reporting, must be able to complete and pass a medical evaluation for badging purposes. Must have full mobility, be able to walk on uneven or broken surfaces (rocks, gravel, etc.). The examination includes, but is not limited to ability to pass blood pressure test, able to bend, twist, pull, push, climb, and lift more than 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a physical examination, drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education. Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the site.
  • Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
