FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead a dedicated, multi-disciplined project team or teams
- Manage mega project budget over $200 million

- Lead enterprise-level infrastructure platform implementation projects critical to business continuity and cybersecurity

- Lead, direct and manage projects from initial planning stages to completion, including post-project analysis in compliance with corporate processes and procedures
- Actively manage multi-discipline teams including internal and external resources to define and achieve project performance goals, schedule and budget performance
- Develop full-scale project plans including project scope, accurate and reliable cost estimates, goals and deliverables

- Effectively communicate project expectations to management, end users and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner

- Proactively communicate project status, issues and risks to management
- Define, estimate and secure resources needed to achieve project goals

- Integrate sound cost estimating practices into project plans

- Prepare budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes to meet changing requirements

- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using formal processes and appropriate tools such as project management software
- Track project progress, milestones and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met appropriately

- Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet project goals
- Proactively manage changes in project scope

- Identify potential crises and develop contingency plans
- Minimize exposure and risks on project(s).

- Issue stop-work orders when adverse risk is identified

- Solve technical and non-technical problems throughout the life of project(s)

- Coordinate with other internal organizations to ensure efficient use of corporate resources

- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

- Ensure project-related documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
- Oversee and coordinate work performed by outside contractors

- Assign responsibilities for and provide direction and support to project team(s)

- Conduct effective performance evaluations and mentor those with less experience

- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain thorough knowledge of project status and ensure communications are precise

- Ensure qualified experienced personnel, including contractor personnel are assigned to project(s)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI)

- Proven, documented experience as lead project manager on enterprise-level infrastructure platform implementations (e.g. Oracle, ServiceNow, SAP, etc.) within matrix organizations

- Superior executive-level communication and presentation skills

- Deep experience with Agile teams

- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, technical or related field

- Minimum of 15 years of project management experience

- Proven experience in “people management” with demonstrated ability to provide leadership and manage mega projects, potentially diverse teams of managers and senior professional staff

- Proven ability to look beyond existing methodologies to define and resolve complex problems
 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Acute understanding and experience managing projects in a DevSecOps environment

- Master’s degree
