Johnson Service Group is assisting our growing client with a direct hire, Project Manager role near Odessa, FL.

Manufacturing experience required / Client is not able to provide current or future sponsorship.


  • 5+ yrs. as a Project Manager 
  • Heavy automation focused
  • Liaison for client and multi-million-dollar projects
  • Hands-on programming experience is a strong plus
  • Packaging Experience
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 5 years in actual design AND project engineering with at least 2 years of light industrial machinery/ automation in Engineer to Order Environment

Minimum Field of Expertise:

  • Well organized with excellent Project Management skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation machinery.
  • Familiarity with the packaging industry.
  • Work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
  • Have strong knowledge base of fabrication methods and processes such as milling, turning, welding, plating and coatings.
  • Proficiency in the metric system of measurement.
  • Ability to use industry standard 2D & 3D CAD systems.
  • Computer literate MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
  • The ability to manage and motivate employees who do not necessarily report directly to the Project Manager.
  • An eye to detail and accuracy of work, able to work under tight project deliverable schedules, etc.
  • Ability to handle simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to have a good vision of what the final customer expectations to be achieved.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design and communicate technical information.
  • Be innovative, resourceful and disciplined when resolving technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills in large group settings and the ability to liaise with people at all levels within organization.  Such as, customers, engineering staff, purchasing group, shop personnel and outside vendors.

***Will require periodic weekend and or evening work and might require 1-3 day out of plant travel; two to six times per year.
