Plans, directs, and coordinates sales and project management activities of designated region to ensure that goals or objectives of sales department and projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

  • 2-5 years experience as a Sales Engineer in the construction field with specific experience around concrete and structural steel for bridges and buildings.
  • Experience reading structural and architectural drawings required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience preparing bills of materials, cut sheets, and fabrication sheets for projects.
  • Prepare Material take offs for upcoming projects
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and examine product for defects
  • Build and foster relationships with customers
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to potential clients
  • Prepare estimates and bids and respond to tender bid requests.
  • Resolve field problems with customers and they pertain to shop drawings
  • Resolve detailing conflicts with engineers as they pertain to drawings
  • Write Material Discrepancy Reports and notify staff and client of possible delays.
