Johnson Service Group is looking for a Senior Messaging Engineer for a direct hire role in Tampa, FL

Position Summary

  • Working with and guiding teams towards a uniform best practice approach for technology design and implementation 
  • Develop, implement and operate the worldwide Messaging Infrastructure.
  • Provide input to the overall IT design supporting the business objectives globally, while optimizing spends and the technology infrastructure life cycle.
  • Responsible for the alignment and integration of the global Messaging infrastructure (messaging servers, mobile devices, gateways, instant messaging etc.) and methods into the complete technology portfolio, in particular around the Applications, Communications and Desktop Infrastructure.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

TEAM:

Business Services – maintain, develop and support the enterprise systems,

Operations – design, build and support communications and data center operations

Support Services – provide desktop, meeting and training support at multiple locations 

Duties and Accountabilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Messaging Team Lead and takes direction from other assigned management positions
  • Provide technical leadership, direction and guidance in the respective areas of responsibility
  • Ensure all Messaging Infrastructure components are appropriately managed, resilient, documented and are in line with industry best practices
  • Lead and participate in Firm projects and initiatives, with a focus on Messaging technologies
  • Participate in company-wide planning activities
  • Participate in the review and optimization of expenditures and contracts
  • Actively monitor new and emerging Messaging-related technologies, trends, issues and solutions

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and champion the core values and principles
  • Use of ticketing system and documentation are required
  • Maintain the practice of continuous improvement and education
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing relevant professional publications
  • Comfortably interact with all levels of the partnership and staff

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience working for a medium to large geographically dispersed enterprise
  • Supporting Microsoft Exchange 2010-2016 environments
  • Experienced in PowerShell scripting for Exchange required
  • Experienced Active Directory knowledge required
  • Proficient in Email filtering methods, understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC required
  • Messaging Security understanding is required
  • SMTP Gateways, SAAS SPAM Filtering
  • DRM/DLP experience is a plus
  • Office 365 hybrid configuration experience is a plus
  • ProofPoint experience is a plus
  • TrendMicro ScanMail and Deep Discovery Analyzer experience is a plus
  • Veritas Enterprise Vault experience is a plus
  • Blackberry UEM experience is a plus
  • Related certifications are beneficial
  • Ability to work in teams of highly skilled technical professionals
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to effectively multitask on multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Create and improve all operational and service oriented documentation
  • Qualitative execution on all Service and Incidents requests
