Johnson Service Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work on-site with our client in Alameda, CA.  In this position, you will be tasked with developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals. You will also be tasked with development and monitoring of budgets/ operating plans for programs and  key metrics.  In order to be successful in this role, you must have prior experience in both program management and team management in a technical industry.  A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.  The successful candidate will work within a medical device client’s high-performance software and systems development team that is developing world-class products in patient healthcare.


  • Oversee the development and execution of large projects.  Organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Allocate and control company resources as they relate to individual programs as well as the department’s budget as a whole.
  • Oversee development of budgets and operating plans for the program.  Develop and manage financial models.
  • Cost tracking and planning to orchestrate projects, resources, timescales, monitoring and control.
  • Routine evaluation to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement. On-going performance assessment, research and development of new capabilities, and systematically applying knowledge for program success. Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Meet with stakeholders as required to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Analyze program risks.


  • BS or MS in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • 6+ years’ experience in program management in a technical industry, experience working within a software/application development team and familiar with the full application development life cycle desired 
  • Advanced Excel capabilities to support development of financial models.
  • Project management experience and PMI certification a plus.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
