- participate in daily standups, planning sessions, backlog grooming, and retrospective ceremonies within the Agile Framework

- work closely with Business Analyst, UI/UX Designer, members of the development team and customers daily

- communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives

- gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, business analysts, and engineers

- work with UI/UX Designer to collaborate on the technical aspects of the design

- work independently on all phases of the software development process

- incorporate adjustments based on user feedback

- working with a team of business analysts, database administrators, project managers, architects and developers, maintain and enhance existing software applications to meet the needs of internal business customers

- function as subject matter expert on one or more large applications (supporting, maintaining, enhancing, replacing, etc.)

- convert new requirements into usable, scalable, robust, tested code by developing applications to meet business needs

- help managers determine project budget or define scope of work that will fit into budget

- meet budget targets and schedule deadlines while juggling multiple applications

- produce applications within an “Agile like” environment

- test and document applications


- due to requirements of federal government contracts, must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with the ability to remain and work in the U.S. without sponsorship

- minimum of a college degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study AND minimum of 3 years of relevant, professional software development experience

- advanced knowledge in the following technologies with a minimum of 3 years of experience in at least one area:

  • At least one modern front-end web framework – React / Angular / Vue
  • ES6 JavaScript
  • C# ASP.NET
  • proven experience with relational databases such as Oracle (e.g. 12C) and PL/SQL commands and syntax AND/OR SQL Server databases (e.g. 2016) and Transact SQL (T-SQL)
  • Databases – Preferably MS SQL or Oracle
  • proven experience with code repositories and versioning control (preferably Git)

- minimum of 1 year of experience with Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction (HCI)

- iIn-depth knowledge of Agile Framework

- mobile development experience

- awareness of and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, etc.

- in-depth knowledge of JIRA
