User Experience Designer, Advisory –

As a Senior UX Designer at the client's Electronic Payments, you’ll work with Product
Managers, Delivery Teams and other UX team members to create easy-to-use web
and mobile payment applications for consumers. You’ll dig into the details of
business requirements with sometimes complex technical constraints and legal
compliance concerns, ensuring that consumers can easily accomplish their tasks
with informed confidence. You’ll bring knowledge of UX best practices and the
latest interaction design patterns, to the team as you represent user-centered
design within the products you support. With each product release you’ll identify
user research needs and help conduct online research studies. You'll create clean
and effective documentation and communication of the user experience. You'll
collaborate with a team of user experience professionals to define, grow, and
maintain our enterprise design system and pattern library as well as further
develop your own capabilities and skills.
In this role you will:
• You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. Since we are a multidisciplinary
group, you should feel comfortable standing up for design
decisions to build consensus.
• You take the initiative, leading by example. We need you to advocate for
the user by challenging constraints when appropriate while also actively
interpreting specifications and design recommendations from leadership.
• We need you to help facilitate design thinking initiatives, retrospectives and
critiques by presenting your work to key contributors. This should be
second nature.
• Balancing technical constraints with user needs is critical. Your portfolio
should reflect an understanding of user center design methodology by
highlighting user journey flows, wire-frames, visual designs, and detailed
specifications on projects you have guided to delivery.
• You are a leader. We expect you to mentor and coach team members. You
play well in the sandbox with others by actively engaging product owners,
business analysts, writers and designers.
• As a user experience professional, we will ask you to scope voice-of customer
research with our partners, analyze insights, shepherd research
studies and provide usability assessments to improve our products
• From concept to commercialization, you will need to work closely with
front end developers to ensure designs are translated into clean and
elegant products that follow best practices for the appropriate platform.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
• 8+ years of UX design experience
• Proven background in UX methodologies. Portfolio should demonstrate a
variety of work and clear understanding of user-centered design
• Proficiency in using style guides, iconography, and typography
• Experience with rapid prototyping and visualization tools such as Axure,
Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
• General understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and how Web
designs are implemented
• Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborating with both local and
distributed teams
• Experience creating design discovery artifacts including user stories, user
journey maps, and personas
• Experience with user research strategy
• Willingness to help teammates, share knowledge with them, and learn from
them.
• Open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
